Lindbodarnas Fäbod

On June 25, 1715, the authorities gave the inhabitants of Arvslidna permission to establish a new fäbodställe "on their lötesmark around kolbotnar at the eastern north end of Ändlösberget": In the 1811-1817 census, Lindbodarna had 17 co-owners.

In the book "Från källorna till havet" (From the springs to the sea), Karl-Erik Forslund describes the shire as follows:

"Shortly northwest of Sältjärn lies Lindbuan, the last of all these shielings in southeastern Gagnef (Gagnef people also lease and use old shielings in Tuna). Lindbuan belongs to Arfslindan and is located high in the mountain with a wide and beautiful view of the Gagnef plain and the heights around it."

Sometime between 1910 and 1915, a major fire destroyed most of the Lind farms' cabins, sheepfolds and barns. Some boys were going to build a fire in the fireplace of a shepherd's hut. For some reason, the cabin caught fire and the fire spread to neighboring buildings.
