Handlinger
Beskrivelse
Långhedsberget is located at the southern end of Solleröskogen, three kilometers north of Lake Stor-Flaten. This nature reserve actually consists of three parts.
The nature reserve is divided into three separate parts:
- The southwest slope of Långhedsberget
- The area about one kilometer west of the mountain, sloping down toward Bjurtjärnarna
- The area about one kilometer south of the mountain, near Skärsjön.
A pine forest shaped by repeated fires
All three sections are home to a pine forest that has been shaped by repeated fires. The trees are between 125 and 225 years old, with some even older. There are plenty of dead trees of various sizes and stages of decomposition.
All of this is likely the reason why many endangered species have been found here. Examples include the glossy black nail lichen and the rough flat beetle. The reserve is adjacent to the Noret watercourse.

Veibeskrivelse
The reserve is located far from any populated areas, deep in the forest. It lies almost exactly at the intersection formed by drawing a line between Leksand and Malung and another between Dala-Järna and Mora.
