Källslättenleden

Experience one of Falun's pearls with a bike excursion to Källslätten, an important part of World Heritage Falun.

Enjoy beautiful scenery, grazing animals, breathtaking views and historic buildings in a historic, well-preserved farming landscape.

Cycle from Falun along road 293 (Gamla Leksandsvägen). Turn off towards Nybo. Continue past Puttbo and follow the signs to Källslätten. Park the bike and walk the well-paced, about 1 km long path to Källslätten. Please bring your own lunch bag, barbecue area available. Take the opportunity to drink fresh, cold water directly from the source.

If you want, you can cycle further west towards Nedre Skog and Grälviken, before turning back towards Falun. When you come out on road 293 again, it is just to follow the cycle path all the way back to Falun. The entire round will be about 24 km.
