Utklippans fyr

The lighthouse on Södraskär was built in 1840 as a combined lighthouse and fort. The current lighthouse tower is a Heidenstam lighthouse built in 1870 to designs by Albert Theodor Gellerstedt and is 30.9 metres high. The lighthouse has been fully automated since 1972. The white light from the main lighthouse was switched off by the Swedish Maritime Administration in 2008, but the fairway is still lit. Utklippan lighthouse has been a listed building since 25 January 1935.
