Beskrivelse
The nature reserve is an archipelago area with a unique historic landscape covering the islands of Arpö, Vagnö and Slädö with their neighbouring islets and skerries. The whole area spans 1,015 hectares, 237 hectares of which is land.
Arpö has old-growth forest with oaks and lindens. There are very old oak trees growing in an open, light pasture landscape shaped by grazing. Greater stitchwort, common cow-wheat and different grasses grow in these fields. The north-western part of the island is covered in broadleaf woodland. On the northern headlands, the rocks shear sharply into the sea, while on the south side there are walks along the shoreline. Vagnö and Slädö are also characterised by a semi-open grazing landscape with many ancient oak trees.
The small skerries to the south; Stångskär, Skrävlingen and Stora Kråkan, are low-lying and mainly bare rock. They are a bird protection area and rich in bird life. Stångskär is one of the best bird islands in the Blekinge archipelago. Caspian terns, ruddy turnstones, shovelers and many other species nest here.
The nature reserve is between the Gö peninsula and Hasslö, 12 km south-east of Ronneby. It has been protected since 1981.
The rules for the nature reserve are shown in the link below, but, for example, you may not anchor or moor a boat for longer than 48 hours or light a fire other than in a place designated for the purpose, and dogs must be kept on a lead. No camping whatsoever is allowed in the north-western part of Arpö.

Spanning over 1,000 hectares, the nature reserve comprises the three large islands of Arpö, Vagnö and Slädö, many smaller islets and skerries and the surrounding sea. Listerby archipelago is west of Jordö and Almö. The area can only be reached by boat. There is a jetty on the northern side of Arpö.
Forskrifter
You are welcome to visit the Listerby archipelago, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- Dig or otherwise damage solid natural objects or surface formation, for example by knocking down mooring rings
- dig up plants pick flowers and mushrooms on the northwestern part of Arpö
- damaging living or dead trees or shrubs
- unduly disturbing wildlife, for example by taking close-up photographs
- bringing an unleashed dog
- driving a motorized vehicle
- anchoring or mooring a boat for more than two days
- camping on the northwestern part of Arpö and otherwise camping for longer than one day on the same island
- making fires other than in designated places
- use a radio, gramophone, tape recorder or similar in a disruptive manner
- affix a board, poster, poster, sign, inscription or similar device.
Without permission from the County Administrative Board, you may not:
- Collect beetles and butterflies.
