Nav | Ekenäs/Karön

Ekenäs is one of ARK56’s hubs. The hubs are where different trails intersect, making them a good place to start or end your adventure – or to swap mode of transport and continue exploring the Blekinge Archipelago by bike, kayak, boat, ferry or on foot.

It is a short trip over to Karön. Stroll along the paths between the old houses and look out over the archipelago from the top of the island.

Zigzag between islets in your kayak and see the seals on the exposed side of the island or walk inland through the historic Brunnskogen nature reserve. On the other side of the forest is one of Sweden’s most beautiful parks, Brunnsparken, home to the Naturum nature information centre.

Here ARK56 and the Blekinge Archipelago are at your feet, and round the cape or headland, a unique environment awaits, shaped by nature, animals and people for thousands of years.
