Altar hall is a large moving block or natural object (a rock formation) that is registered as a Swedish cultural heritage site in Karlshamn municipality. The significance is linked to natural geology and landscape rather than a building or hall for events.
According to local stories and natural history sources, there is a legend that an English brig named Altáre was wrecked and stranded at the site of Altare Hall around 1679. It is said that the ship drifted on the rocks of Stärnö and that the surrounding places were named after this shipwreck.
