From tannery to hostel

The Mariestad Hostel is situated among the charming red houses by the guest harbour in Mriestad, in the north-east of Västergötland. The beautiful, timbered loft storehouse was built in 1693 and was previously one of the city's many tanneries. You’ll have a comfortable stay here in clean double or multiple-bed rooms, some with a traditional masonry stove. There is also a shared kitchen, a cosy dining room and a shared lounge.

Garden café

The hostel has a garden with a charming outdoor café, where breakfast is served during the summer. The café also serves food, coffee, gelato, waffles as well as beer and wine. Live music is arranged in the café from time to time.
