Klimpfjäll (Soldalen) – Borgafjäll, Lapplandsleden

From Soldalen it is 9 km up to the vast moor and tar systems at Slipsiken. There are many nice places to camp here, but be aware that the wind can be strong. The plateau where Korpån flows down into the valley about 9 km from Slipsikstugan is a good camping spot. Other places to camp are, for example, at the old shelter in Gielmetjehe, halfway to Borgafjäll and just before the trail goes down to the forest.

The trail descends into the deep Korpådalen valley about 10 km from Slipsikstugan. Here is Geartoe rest shelter where you can seek shelter, especially if you come from the south and the wind picks up.

If you want to camp again before Borgafjäll, there is a nice shelf in serpentine stone at Aessie with views down towards Borgafjäll. Once you have passed Aessie, it is about 10 km left to Borgafjäll.

The last 15 kilometers along Korpådalen, the trail goes through mountain birch and spruce forest before you reach Borgafjäll. On the moors below Klöverfjället, the views are magnificent. The trail then passes a Sámi display and the artwork "A good night's sleep" before reaching Borgafjäll.
