Framgården

You'll find Framgården in Lakene where they run a small organic farm breeding Värmlandsfår (special breed of sheep). Here you can find a shop selling locally produced handicrafts.

Welcome to Framgården.
Framgården runs a small organic farm with breeding of Värmlands sheep. The ecological breeding of Värmland sheep has developed more and more over the years.
A natural part of this development has been to refine the wool and take advantage of the rail.
The wool is sent to Båven's spinning house in Sparreholm on wage spinning, which means that it comes back in refined form as one or two-threaded eco-wool yarn in six different natural shades.
The sheep are cut in the autumn and spring by Göran Levin from Åsteby, the autumn litter becomes yarn and the spring wool is mainly used for felted items.
There is also the possibility to book one or two days' workshop to try to rope. For information on opening hours and prices for workshops, contact Framgården.
