Almrundan - Vandringsslingan Nature et Arte

Join Bettina Blåmes on a tour of Åtvidaberg. Here you will see many different trees, in different shapes and sizes. Some trees are dead while others are newly planted. Some have been transformed by artists into fantastic objects. Along the tour you will be able to read or listen to things about our nature.

In 2018-2020, Dutch elm disease struck with full force in the urban area of Åtvidaberg and more than 300 trees died. Many of the trees formed beautiful avenues or decorated parks and green areas. Along this tour, you will pass some of Åtvidaberg's avenues, parks and green spaces where you can see how we dealt with the outbreak of Dutch elm disease. You will pass signs with Bettina Blåmes and QR codes.

Using your mobile phone, you can read or listen to information about our nature and the artists who worked on some of the dead trees. Your mobile phone will also show you where the route is leading and where the next information stop is.
