Lilla Sörgården is situated in beautiful Färingsö in Mälaren, just west of Stockholm. Here, hiking trails wind between nature reserves with old oak treas, beautiful mixed forest and castle parks. The area has a rich cultural landscape and a history going all the way back to the Bronze Age. The water of Lake Mälarens is a constant presence, and you will find plenty of opportunities for swimming in one of the many lovely swimming sites.
Our farm living consists of a main building with five rooms, each with personal and unique decoration, and three detached farmhouses that can be booked separately for one party at a time. The main building and the farmhouses are located in a large, green courtyard, with open views of the fields and meadows. The courtyard features patios, a fruit garden, vegetable garden and a duck and chicken coop. The nearest swimming spot is just under a ten minutes’ walk away, and across the street you will find a well-stocked grocery store and a pizzeria/grill.
Lilla Sörgården is run by Jonas and Christin Blomberg. We came across Lilla Sörgården in 2009 and were captivated by the place, the houses and the surroundings. What especially attracted us were the unobstructed views of the fields and meadows to the south, merely a few miles outside Stockholm but in a different and much simpler world. The following year, we moved in and began the work of rebuilding and redecorating for our future guests. Since then, we have transformed Sörgården into a welcoming holiday farm for our guests, as well as a lovely home for ourselves and our daughters.
We love it here at Färingsö, where we always explore the nature, new places and activities around the area. We want our guests to feel that they have everything they need here to enjoy time with each other, their holiday and the Mälarö Islands. Each house has its “own” large patio and garden, but there is also plenty of common space on our lawns and playgrounds, where guests can spend time together.
Check-in is normally from 16:00 and check-out by 11:00.

Little Sörgården is located on the northern part of Färingsö in Ekerö municipality. It is possible to travel using public transportation all the way to the accommodation. By bus, you can travel from Brommaplan in Stockholm, a journey that takes about 50 minutes. The bus stop is called Kungsberga Konsum.
You can also take the commuter boat, line 89, from Klara Mälarstrand to Tappström at Ekerö center. From there, a bus continues to Kungsberga (for timetables, see www.sl.se or the "Res i Stockholm" app).
If you are coming from the south, you can also take the ferry Slagsta-Jungfrusund to Ekerö, which is faster during rush hour.
By bike, it is 27 km from Brommaplan and about 24 km from Jungfrusund.
By car, it takes about 45 minutes from central Stockholm. Electric vehicle charging is available and free for guests. We have free parking for our guests in direct connection to the accommodation.
