Tour information

• Starting Point / Launch Site: Start at Eden Kajak & SUP (Smedsudden, Kungsholmen) or Pampas Kajak & SUP. Choose the location most convenient for you.
• Distance: Approximately 10 km.
• Duration: Approx. 2–3 hours.
• Difficulty Level: Green (Easy/Beginner). However, we recommend paddling skills corresponding to the EPP Yellow level (Euro Paddle Pass) for the best experience.
• Season: This tour is paddleable for most of the year, provided the water is ice-free. Note: Ice usually forms first in the Karlberg Canal. Always dress according to the conditions and paddle with a friend for increased safety.

Facilities:

• Pampas Kajak & SUP: Toilets and water are available during opening hours.
• Eden Kajak & SUP: A public toilet is available nearby during the summer season.

• Paddle through the Karlberg Canal and enjoy the tranquil environment.
• Admire the Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset) from the water—a fantastic view and a "must" for photos!
• Experience Kungsholmen’s beautiful shoreline and the city's pulse from a new angle.
• Pass by Karlberg Palace (Karlbergs slott), the world's oldest military academy still in active operation.

Safety & Risk Management: ⚠️

• Traffic: Be aware of a high volume of boat traffic, including recreational boats and commercial vessels. Keep a sharp lookout and stay clear of main fairways (shipping lanes).
• Cold Water: Early in the season, the water can be very cold. We strongly recommend wearing a Dry Suit during colder periods to ensure safety and comfort.

Parking & Logistics Guide 🚗🛶

Here is how to find us and where to launch if you have your own gear.

📍 Pampas Kajak & SUP

• Parking: The easiest place to park is the large guest parking lot at Pampas Marina. Please be aware that this is a paid parking zone.
• Dropping off Private Gear: If you are arriving with your own kayak or SUP, you are welcome to drive all the way down to our dock to unload. Please check in with the dock staff (bryggvärd) to get the "green light" ✅ before launching from our specific kayak dock. Once you have unloaded your gear, please move your car back to the guest parking.
• After Hours: If we are closed, you are free to use our dock for your own adventures!

📍 Eden Kajak & SUP

• Parking: The most convenient parking is found along the street Norr Mälarstrand or up on the hill at Fyrverkarbacken.
• Dropping off Private Gear: If you have your own equipment, you can drive all the way into the turnaround point (vändplanen) at Eden to drop off your kayak and gear.
• Service: Just speak to our staff on-site—they will happily keep an eye on your equipment while you drive away to park your car.

• Metro (Tunnelbana): Take the Blue Line to station Västra skogen.

📍 Eden Kajak & SUP

• Metro (Tunnelbana):
  Green Line: Get off at Fridhemsplan or Thorildsplan.
  Red Line: Get off at Hornstull.
• Bus: The closest bus stop is Västerbroplan.
