Kuvaus
Wooden churches
If you are fond of architecture and history, a hot tip is to visit the beautiful wooden churches around the municipality. There are no less than seven churches and two chapels with their own personal touch. The oldest of these is Pajala Church, which was built in 1797 and is open as a roadside church during the summer. There are also plenty of ghost stories at the old burial sites, but we dare not write about them here.
