Bysjön

Bysjön is located about 15 km southwest of Hultsfred. Bysjön is one of the lakes included in Flatens Fiskevårdsområde in the Gårdvedaån water system. You can find the lake if you take the road towards Gårdveda farm, just south of Gårdveda. If you pass the river, a small road goes south, signposted Salsnäs. If you follow that road you pass the lake. The surroundings are dominated by coniferous forest, pine and spruce. The shores are mostly rocky and the vegetation in the lake is sparse with elements of pike perch, bladderwrack and water lilies. The lake also contains some large stones that are visible in the water. The densest vegetation is found in the northern part where the river flows. Shallow banks with dense vegetation are important areas for all fish in the lake as they serve as spawning and nursery grounds.
