Knätten (Vitvattnet) - Klaxåsen 14 km

The terrain here becomes hilly and it can be wet at times. The Inlandsbanan is crossed on three occasions. The trail runs parallel to Hoan, which you cross on two occasions, just before Björnberget and in Klaxåsen. Here you enter Berg municipality.

History & nature:

Klaxåsen is probably one of southern Jämtland's oldest villages and was already populated in the late 800s. The church bells are said to have been lowered in Hoan in 1178 to escape enemy hands when King Sverre conquered Jämtland to Norway.
