Yxsjöliden is located in Falkenberg municipality about six kilometers northeast of Vessigebro. Directions: From Vessigebro you can drive via Askome church. From there you drive east towards Gällared and in Yngered you take a smaller gravel road that leads up over the mountain. The gravel road is very steep in places and can be difficult to access in winter weather. There is no parking lot but there is a turning area, you are responsible for ensuring that your car is not in the way or parked inappropriately.

To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.

In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:

• Damage living or dead standing or lying trees and bushes,
• damaging, picking or collecting plants. However, picking berries, edible mushrooms and individual specimens of vascular plants is permitted,
• use traps intended for invertebrates without the permission of the county administrative board
• planting species alien to the area,
• organize camps or competitions without the permission of the county administrative board
• without the permission of the County Administrative Board, carry out scientific research that contravenes the regulations,
• bring an unleashed dog, except for hunting with dogs or for searching,
• make fires,
• drive a motorized vehicle other than on a road; however, the prohibition does not apply to hunting rights holders when transporting fallen game, and
• put up a board, poster, sign or make an inscription.
