STF Trollnäs Hotell

Trollnäs Hotel was built in 1922 and was originally a rest home for "prominent ladies from Stockholm". The activities may have changed over the years, but they have always involved accommodating guests. Trollnäs is a carefully renovated farm building, still with its rustic charm in the walls and in the creaking floor.

Trollnäs Hotel is run by siblings Hasse and Elisabeth. We have strong feelings for the area, since we grew up on our family farm Hagans in Bole, on the other side of the lake from Trollnäs. Svärdsjön and Höganäs with the amazing "Sandhan", the long characteristic sand-and-roots pier, was also a part of our childhood. In summer, the area is teeming with life, and we wish to give our guests a lovely, relaxing and tranquil stay at Trollnäs.
We want our guests to come to us and take in the local nature and culture with all their senses. Many consider Svärdsjö, with its hills, lakes and streams, to be one of Dalarna’s most beautiful districts, and our philosophy is to work locally as much as possible, to make it possible for more people to live in, work in and discover our beautiful area.

The surroundings offer fantastic hiking, fishing and skiing opportunities, as well as exciting cultural experiences such as the Carl Larsson farm and Falu Copper Mine – in short, here is something for everyone! Check-in is normally from 15.00 and check-out no later than 12.00.
