When the Bråviken herring run starts, fishing can be a real party. If you find the shoal, it's hard not to catch fish! Look out for others catching fish and you'll know you're in the right place. In late May and early June, fishing from the shore with spinning rods and herring hooks is usually at its best. Popular fishing spots are at Marmorbruket, around Sandviken and along Strandvägen west towards the island of Stenskär. In winter, ice fishing in the same area can be rewarding. Fishing with hand gear is free, but don't forget to check the fishing rules.
