Lillungsrev, Slite

From Lotsbacken and Lillugnsrev you get a nice view of Slite Archipelago with the islands Asunden, Grundet and Enholmen. On Enholmen you can see fortifications built in the mid-1800s. Further away is the larger island of Majgu and the small islands of Hojskär and Skenalden. Up on Lotsbacken is the old pilot lookout and mill. It is located in the middle of the remains of the Vitalie brothers' fortification from the 1300s. Along the hiking trail you can also see the remains of the old lime kiln “Lillugnen” with a mordhög. The parts of the stone that have not been burned through or burned too hard are discarded and thrown into a pile. This pile is called the murder pile. The trail also passes trenches from the First and Second World Wars. On the headland there has also been a lime barn and port for unloading. However, there are no traces of these left
