Ramshults tallskogar naturreservat

If you are looking for a secluded and quiet area, the forest landscape south of Börrum may be of interest. Ramshult's pine forests consist of three areas of older forest. Two are in Söderköping municipality and one in Valdemarsvik municipality. Most of the forest is around 150 years old, but some groups of trees are as old as 200 to 250 years. East of Ramshult you will find the best preserved old-growth forest without visible traces of forestry. On the old pines you have the chance to see the rare and endangered species twine lichen. The reserve has no special facilities for outdoor life and you can only reach the area on foot or by bike via private forest roads.
