Beschreibung
The Husby nature reserve is part of the Uppsala Ridge, a 250 km long esker that winds through Uppland. Explore the area by taking the trail that runs below the steep eastern side of the ridge. It follows the shore of Lake Mälaren and offers a beautiful view of the lake.
The north-western parts of the reserve contain ancient remnants from the Iron Age, including burial mounds and stone monuments from 550-800 AD. A larger grave field, Björn Järnsidas hög, is located just outside of the reserve.
Pine trees as old as 140 years or more grow in the southern parts of the reserve.
