Vandringsstig Fårön

On Fårön you will also find Fåröns Stugby and a beautiful and well-kept area with allotments. The cottage village with its undisturbed environment, large grassy areas and swimming pool in the area combined with the proximity to the center makes it a popular place for holidaymakers. The allotment area with its 38 developed plots is an inviting idyll filled with lush green plants, picturesque cottages and gardening and cultivation-interested residents.

This is a classified health trail that is inventoried based on difficulty and accessibility.

The rest area is functionally adapted with, among other things, a bench table with space for a wheelchair and an accessible outhouse. There is also a shelter, fire pit and woodshed.From the rest area, a wide, paved path without major irregularities runs into the forest. After just over 150 meters, a wide wooden walkway with railings begins. It is a fairly long and steep uphill at the beginning where a wheelchair user may need help to get up. The path is about 60 meters long and at the end there is a wooden deck with benches and tables where you can sit and enjoy the sounds and smells of the forest before continuing the tour.

The path is rocky and uneven in places. After about 60 meters the path splits. You can either follow the path to the left towards the parking lot - then there is a running loop of about 1.4 km. The path is marked with red markings painted on the trees.

Another option is to take the path to the right with signs towards Fåröberget. Follow the blue markings painted on the trees. Up on the rocks on Fåröberget there is a fireplace. Here you can either turn around and go back to continue around the loop that takes you to the parking lot, or you can continue along the path until you get out on the road. If you follow the road to the left, you will also return to the parking lot.

This detour is about 1.5 kilometers long round trip from the trailhead.

Drive over the bridge to Fårön and turn towards Vägen west. From the parking lot at Vägen västerut, follow the road for about 400 meters until you come to a rest area. It is possible to drive all the way to the rest area for those who need it - there is no marked parking lot but it is possible to park by the side of the road.
