Beskrivelse
Bogs, spruce swamp forest, spruce forest and dry pine forest ridges are found within the reserve's boundaries. On the large open mire west of Lillåsen there is a rich bird life and at the edge the poisonous green wolf lichen grows on many old sunlit dry trees. Just outside the reserve is Östvallens fäbod.

Rutevejledning
The reserve is located one mile southwest of Hede and is most easily reached from the road between Hede and Rånddalen.
Regler
Welcome to Storåsen. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- climbing trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot
- damage the ground or vegetation, including dry trees and windfalls.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
