STF Vålådalen Fjällstation

Vålådalen mountain station is located 600 metres above sea level at the foot of Ottfjället. Its cosy accommodation has been welcoming mountain guests since 1923.

The mountain station has 200 beds divided between 2-bed rooms, 4-bed rooms and cottages, all rooms with their own shower and WC. The accommodation varies from rustic to modern and includes our beautiful timber cottages. Vålådalen nature reserve is a perfect spot for exciting excursions and tours all year round. There are plenty of wonderful hiking trails, 50 km of prepared ski tracks, and lit ski trails for cross-country skiing, classic and skating-style. Right next to the mountain station there are lifts with two downhill slopes and a new area for children. Vålådalen is an ideal location for a family holiday or a simple restful stay in the mountains.

All guests can use the sauna with its adjoining relaxation area and our wooden hot tubs free of charge.

The chefs in our restaurant delight in keeping Vålådalen’s culinary traditions alive. Full or half-board and café.
