Classic cross-country skis, touring skis
Rundhögsleden is a nice round trip that takes you through mostly flat terrain. You ski through spruce forests, bogs, sparser mountain birch forests and over the bare mountain with miles of mountain views on a clear and nice day. The stretch that goes over the bare mountain offers a long counter slope with a corresponding downhill run, no matter which direction you choose to ski the round.
With a packed lunch in your backpack or a coffee stop at Storliens Fjällgård (check in advance if the kitchen is open), this is a nice half-day trip. At Sevedholm there is a shelter with a bench and a barbecue area (bring your own firewood) and a toilet.
Since large parts of the route go in windy terrain, this trip is best on days when it is not so windy.
You can start and end the tour either at Storliens Fjällgård, or at the large parking lot in Rundhögen.

Storlienfjällens vänner is a non-profit organization that works to manage, maintain and develop trails and trails in the mountain areas of Storlien, Storvallen and Teveldalen that are used by villagers, cottage owners and visitors.
Among other things, the association manages land agreements with the landowners concerned, draws ski tracks in winter, and maintains and repairs summer trails.
By buying a trail pass, you are contributing to the continued operation so that there are groomed ski trails here in the future.
Rules for the ski trails
In Storlienfjällens vänner's groomed ski trails you may only stay on skis. Pedestrians, runners and horse riders are referred to more suitable routes.
If you are skiing with a dog, remember that the dog must be on a leash, stay by the side of the trail and you will of course stop and pick up poop after your dog. This way, the next skiers can ski on tracks as nice (and clean) as yours!
Bakker
When snow conditions allow, the trail is tracked by snowmobile and track machine and most of the route consists of double ski tracks, which simplifies meeting skiers traveling in the opposite direction. Stay on the right track in your direction of travel.
At the beginning of the season or when snow is scarce, the track bed may be narrow and it may be difficult for skiers with dogs to keep their dogs on the side of the track.
The trail is mostly on flat terrain. The western part of the route goes up towards Rundvalen and offers a long counter slope. When you reach the highest point, you get a slightly longer downhill run instead. Here it is important to keep an eye out because you can meet skiers in the opposite direction. This applies whether you ski the round counterclockwise or clockwise.

**At Storlien Mountain Farm
Parking is available adjacent to Storliens Fjällgård. Please note that the parking lot is primarily for the mountain farm's overnight guests.

Från Storlien: Kör österut på väg E14, ca 3 km efter Storlien, sväng höger (skyltat "Storliens Fjällgård").
Från Åre: Kör västerut på väg E14 mot Storlien. Strax efter Storvallen, sväng vänster (skyltat "Storliens Fjällgård").
Med bil till Rundhögens parkering
Från Storlien: Kör österut på väg E14, ca 7,5 km efter Storlien, sväng höger (skyltat "Rundhögen"). Fortsätt en dryg halv kilometer så hittar du parkeringen på vänster sida.
Från Åre: Kör västerut på väg E14 mot Storlien. Drygt tre kilometer efter att du passerat Enkroken, sväng vänster (skyltat "Rundhögen").Fortsätt en dryg halv kilometer så hittar du parkeringen på vänster sida.
På skidor från Storlien till alternativ ledstart vid Fjällgården
Från Storlien kan du ta dig på turskidor eller längdskidor till Storliens Fjällgård genom den blå leden runt Visjövalen eller via Tullen (samma led men olika färdriktningar), samt den kryssmarkerade vinterleden från Storlien/Tullen mot Storliens Fjällgård.
