Beskrivelse
Here you can walk in an old spruce forest where the trees have different ages and are in living and dead stages. The oldest spruces are 150 years old, and because the forest has never been clear-cut, there have always been trees of different ages and stages. The lime in the soil means that the forest is full of flowering plants. In addition, a moss favored by lime grows in the ground layer, the wreath moss. Wetlands influenced by calcareous soil and groundwater are known as rich bogs. Fridflon in the south-eastern part of the reserve is a rich marsh. The lime content provides conditions for a diversity of unusual plants and mosses.

Rutevejledning
Follow road 666 west from Alsen. Turn left onto road 670 towards Rönningsberg/Trångsviken. After about 350 meters turn right onto a forest road and after about 600 meters turn left at the three-way intersection. After about 600 meters you come to the end of the road but after just over 100 meters you have the nature reserve on your right along the road.

Welcome to Rödde. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of various kinds, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- damage the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
