Beskrivelse
The water flows between the trees, sometimes calmly and quietly, sometimes with a little more speed. The water hides one of the county's largest populations of river pearl mussels. They rise up out of the bottom and let the flowing clear water feed them. They are sensitive to disturbance and are best seen from the shore. From the shore you can also look out for beavers.Like so many other watercourses, Räggån has been used to transport timber. Some stretches have therefore been cleared of stones and boulders to facilitate timber transportation. Other traces from the rafting era are decayed rafting channels and old dams.

Rutevejledning
Räggån och dess naturreservat ligger två mil öster om Bräcke. Från Bräcke åker man mot Albacken, och i Gråssjön tar man av söderut mot Räggen och Räggsjön. Efter cirka sex kilometer svänger man vänster och efter en knapp kilometer når man Räggån.
Regler
Welcome to Räggån. Keep in mind that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- catch, disturb or damage pearl mussels, mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damaging their nests and spawning grounds or collecting eggs
- picking and collecting species of any kind, except berries and edible mushrooms
- panning for gold or other substances
- climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 m to a bird of prey's nest, lair or roost
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make a fire, other than with firewood
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
