Beskrivelse
This mixed coniferous forest grows on transported glacial river sediments with a high lime content. There are roughly as many pine trees as spruce, with an element of coarse deciduous trees. For example, aspens with an impressive diameter of 75 centimeters at breast height have been found. On an old pine stump, four burns from different fires in the area have been found. In the past, fires were common in the forests. If there is lime in the soil, slightly more unusual plants thrive than you are used to. In this reserve, plants such as black witch-hazel, bracken fern, cinnamon rose, wood sorrel and wreathwort have been found.

Rutevejledning
Olanderbodarna ligger ungefär mitt emellan Krokom och Lit, alldeles vid gränsen mot Östersunds kommun. Om man åker från Lit mot Krokom på norra sidan om Indalsälven, passerar man först vattendraget Långan och kommer sedan till byn Litsnäset. I Litsnäset tar man av mot norr längs en skogsbilväg. Efter cirka 5 kilometer tar man sedan av mot väster och når efter cirka 500 meter naturreservatet.

Welcome to Olanderbodarna. Please note that within the nature reserve it is not allowed to:
- pick and collect species of any kind, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms,
- climbing trees, staying near a bird of prey's nest, lair or pot, collecting animals or otherwise deliberately harming or disturbing wildlife,
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- drive a motorized vehicle.
