The reserve is located just over a mile northwest of Strömsund. Just south of Strömsund you turn off the E45 and take road 339 towards Laxsjö. After six kilometers you turn right towards Svaningen and after another mile you turn right again. After five kilometers, there is a gated forest road on the right, leave the car here and walk the last two kilometers to the reserve.

Welcome to Laholmsnäset. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:

• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
• picking and collecting species of any kind, except berries and edible mushrooms
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
• damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• make fires, except in specially designated places
• drive motorized vehicles off-road throughout the area
• carry out organized activities without the permission of the County Administrative Board, such as sports events, hunting tests, visits by large groups, recurring events, etc. The permit requirement does not apply to groups with fewer than 15 participants, or to school classes or pre-school groups that only engage in traditional hiking or touring on occasion.
