Beskrivelse
The forest is full of rough trunks and stones with soft mosses adorned with lingonberry and blueberry bushes. Almost the entire reserve consists of old coniferous forest. Stately spruces that took root after a great fire just over a hundred years ago are mixed with even older, rough-branched pines with rough bark.

Rutevejledning
The reserve is located approximately midway between Föllinge and Valsjöbyn. From road 340 between Häggsjövik and Rötviken, there is a toll forest road to the east. From here it is about seven kilometers to the reserve.
Regler
Welcome to Höjden Botelnäset. Please note that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
- picking and collecting any species except berries and edible mushrooms
- climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make fires other than in designated places
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road within the entire area.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
