Beskrivelse

Deadfall - canyon

During the 7,000 years that the Storforsen waterfall existed, the almost kilometer-long canyon or rocky channel that now forms Döda fallet was formed. It was the rapids that slowly worked their way backwards through the bedrock. Canyons are unusual in Sweden because our bedrock is mostly hard and difficult to wear down.
