Beskrivelse
In this old spruce forest, nature has had free rein for the last hundred years. The result is a quiet room with deep carpets of lingonberry bushes and soft moss-covered stones where the trees are allowed to age with dignity. The peaceful tranquillity experienced by the visitor is actually a deceptive illusion. A forest with such a wide variety of leaves and needles, so many old trees and so much dead wood, is home to a myriad of species.

Rutevejledning
The reserve is located just over a mile southwest of Mörsil. From Mörsil you drive south, over the Indalsälven river, and after six kilometers you turn right and drive towards Sönner-Djupsjön. After seven kilometers, there is a gated forest road to the right. From here it is one kilometer to hike to the reserve.
Regler
Welcome to Djupsjöbäcken. Keep in mind that within the reserve it is not allowed to:
- capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
- picking and collecting species of any kind, except berries and edible mushrooms
- climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, lair or burrow
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make a fire, other than with firewood
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road.
Other rules apply if you want to conduct any kind of activity in the area, see the relevant reserve decision for full regulations. There may also be other laws to take into account, such as the Reindeer Husbandry Act.
