Almdalens Fjällgård, a mountain apartment dating back to the early 1800s, is beautifully situated on the slope at the foot of Grubbfjället in Hotagen's nature reserve, surrounded by fantastic surroundings with old-growth forest and bare mountains. Nature offers an experience beyond the ordinary.
For those who wish, Almdalens Fjällgård offers accommodation and/or guided tours.
The hiking trails in the surrounding area are being renovated but are hikeable as they are.

Fakta
On a mountain estate, the land is owned by the state and the buildings by the tenant. The concept of mountain property was created in 1915 because the state wanted to limit settlement in mountain areas in order to secure the Sami's access to the reindeer grazing mountains and to prevent people from settling in places that were not suitable for agriculture and thus becoming dependent on state support.
In the book "Fjällbondens avsked", Lars-Olof Hallberg documents the farm.
The area is home to many exclusive plants that are somewhat rare in environments like these. For those interested in photography, Almdalen offers many beautiful motifs, ranging from high mountains and old forests to water and streams that can appeal to you as a photographer, whether you are a professional or amateur.

Either you hike from point 86. Myrbodarna in unpaved terrain or park at road 339 and follow the trail towards Almdalen.
