123 Renfjällsrundan - start vid Hotell Köjagården (vinterled, Edsåsdalen)

Touring trail, cross-country classic/skate trail.

**Preparation

Prepared first with snowmobile and sled/track sledge and as soon as snow availability allows with snow groomer. At the beginning of the season, touring skis are the best choice.

Start/finish

The tour starts and ends next to the ski lift opposite Hotel Köjagården.

Difficulty level

Easy.

The difficulty rating ranges from Very easy - Easy - Moderate - Difficult. A very easy trail is a short hike in sheltered terrain without any steeper ascents or descents and tight curves. The longer the hike and the steeper the slopes, the higher the difficulty level.

Signage/trail markings

Follow red trail markings, trail number 123.

Trail fee

Trail passes can be purchased and paid for digitally via Swish using the QR codes found at Edsåsdalen's two trail and trail centers You can also find the QR codes on Edsåsdalen's website "

You can also pay for trail passes at the ticket office at Hotell Köjagården or at the lift pass office at Ravinliften. At the ticket offices you can pay by card or Swish.

By buying a trail pass, you help to ensure a continued high quality of trails and trails in Edsåsdalen.

Waste management

After the trail there are no garbage cans or possibility to throw away garbage.

If you start the trail from Köja, the trail begins with a choice between taking the lift up or skiing up the ski slope by following the red trail crosses to the left of the lift. The lift ride is included when you buy a trail pass.

At the top of the lift, follow the trail crosses onto the groomed trail where a slight climb takes you through the spruce forest and up towards the sparser mountain forest. Soon the trail turns left and makes a loop into the forest. (You can also choose to follow the trail uphill if you want to get to Vita renen as quickly as possible) before the last steeper climbs up to Vita renen.

Back down again, take trail 123 straight ahead instead of turning the same way back to the right and then continue down towards Köja. After the first slightly steep slopes, this part of the trail is two-way so watch out for oncoming skiers or hikers, the trail flattens out and you glide comfortably down over more open areas and down past the Koran wind shelter.

Without much effort, you now make your way back to the ski slope that takes you back down towards Köja.

To Edsåsdalen by car

To get to Edsåsdalen via E14, turn off towards Undersåker and follow the signs to Edsåsdalen. Just after crossing the railroad, turn right (signposted). Follow the road and you will arrive at Edsåsdalen.

If you are coming from the south via Vålådalsvägen, turn left before the bridge, just before Undersåker.

To Edsåsdalen by train + bus

You can get to Edsåsdalen by train and bus. Take the train to Undersåker station. SJ, Snälltåget and Norrtåg operate the route.

From Undersåker station you can take the Fjällupplevelsebussen or Länstrafiken Bus line 561 or 562.
