Välen

Välen in southwest Gothenburg is an attractive and exciting nature area with a rich history. Follow the nature trail and wander around in both the present and the past. From the mountain you have an incomparable view and there is also a shelter where you can take your coffee. In Välen there are ancient monuments from the Bronze Age and from the bird tower (which has a ramp for wheelchair users) you can watch snipe, lapwings and wading birds. Cows of the Scottish Highland breed graze on the meadows. Välen is the City of Gothenburg's first municipal nature reserve.
