About three kilometers east of Fagersta you will find the Kråksten nature reserve. Here you can walk in a really old forest, over bogs and rocky areas. If you like picking berries, you'll find lingonberries, blueberries and the occasional blackberry. If you are interested in birds, keep an eye out for capercaillie and three-toed woodpecker, while those interested in plants can find green clover, bird's-foot trefoil and creeping bent.
In the southern part of the reserve, the land slopes steeply down towards Ängelsbergsvägen and Sundbo Dammsjön. This is where you will find the Brudslöjan waterfall. With its five meters, Brudslöjan is the county's highest waterfall. However, Brudslöjan is dry most of the year. The best chance of seeing water in the waterfall is in spring when the snow melts.

Wskazówki dojazdu
Kråksten jest około 5 kilometrów na wschód od Fagersta. Jedź z Fagersta na trasie 68 w kierunku Gävle. Podążaj za znakiem "Angelsberg" w rondzie na moście kolejowym w Fagersta. Dysk 4.8 km na Knutsvägen / Angels Mountains. Kråksten jest po lewej stronie drogi. Nie ma parkingu, ale możliwość parkowania na skraju prawej strony, gdy przychodzi mały żwir drogi. There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.
It is forbidden to:
- dig, hack, carve, paint or otherwise damage the surface of the ground or solid natural objects,
- drive a motorized vehicle,
- bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet
- ride a bicycle or horse
- fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs and damage vegetation or natural objects in general, for example by collecting plants or mushrooms, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms for domestic use
- collecting insects or other invertebrates
- trapping, killing or removing animals, climbing nest trees, removing eggs or nests or otherwise deliberately disturbing wildlife
- putting up a board, sign, poster, orienteering control or permanently marking trails
- use the area for organized competitions or exercises, camp activities or similar.
