Fryksdalen runt – en resa genom sagans landskap

**This route takes you along the glittering Fryken Lakes, over dramatic heights and through a cultural landscape that has inspired writers for generations. Perfect as an intensive day trip or an enjoyable two-day trip with a twist.

1. GMC Karlstad - We start the tour at GMC in Karlstad - a natural meeting point for bikers. Here you can check the tire pressure, talk equipment or just get inspiration before we roll west.
2. Sliperiet i Borgvik - Art, food & music In the old industrial environment, industrial history meets modern world art. Sliperiet offers a unique atmosphere, first-class food and exhibitions that impress. A perfect first break in a historic setting.
3. Fryksdalshöjden, Sunne - Scenic route Hold the handlebars and enjoy! The road over Fryksdalshöjden offers one of Värmland's most spectacular views. Winding roads and views of Fryksdalen.
4. Rottneros Park, Sunne - Café & flowers A unique sculpture park with a combination of beautiful garden design, history and literary connections. The park's café is a great stop for a coffee in the greenery, surrounded by art and fragrant flower beds.
5. Diner 45, Sunne - Pitstop with a 50s feel At Diner 45 you step straight into an American 50s. American dishes such as hearty burgers and shakes are served here in an environment that breathes nostalgia and road trip.
6. Tossebergsklätten, Sunne - Värmland's highest view The steep and winding road up to the top is an experience in itself. In the café at the top you can enjoy a coffee with accessories and miles of views over Fryksdalen.

1. Frykens Pärla, Lysvik - Food and cooling Just by the lake in Lysvik you will find this little oasis. Here you can enjoy good food with a focus on local produce. Take the opportunity to cool your feet in Fryken from the sandy beach right next door after a day on the bike.
2. Gamla Bruket, Munkfors - Industrial history at the rapids Experience the power of Munkforsen and walk through one of Sweden's best-preserved mill areas. A fascinating place where living mill history meets Klarälven's highest natural waterfall.
3. Mårbacka, Östra Ämtervik - Café and literary magic Visit the home of Nobel Prize winner Selma Lagerlöf. Here you walk in a historic environment that breathes the joy of storytelling. Finish your visit with a Vinbärsgömma or a Mårbacka cake with cream and lingonberry jam in the beautiful garden before getting back on the saddle.
4. Karlstad via Östra Ämtervik - We round off the trip by following the eastern side of Fryken. The road through Östra Ämtervik offers gentle curves and an open cultural landscape that leads all the way back to Karlstad.
