Opis
Wik Castle was built in the 15th century. Originally a fortress, it was one of the strongest strongholds in Mälardalen in the Middle Ages. Massive walls and a moat made the castle impregnable. In 1923, the castle and its buildings were bought by Uppsala County Council and became a folk high school. Today, courses, conferences and concerts are also held at the castle.
