Most people are familiar with Linnaeus' Hammarby, but it is less well known that Linnaeus also owned the agricultural property Linnés Sävja. Linnaeus bought Sävja in 1758, the same year he bought Hammarby. At Sävja, Linnaeus built two rooms for himself where he could be alone. Here he did not have to receive students and foreign guests.
Today there is a café with outdoor seating that is open during weekends in the summer. There is also a museum and an herb garden. On some weekends, singing and musical performances are organized.
