Södertörn Ecologists is a forum for regional collaboration between the municipalities of Botkyrka, Haninge, Huddinge, Nykvarn, Nynäshamn, Salem, Stockholm, Södertälje and Tyresö.

Since 1990, the Södertörn Ecologists have mapped plant and animal species, ecosystems and natural values, and in other ways worked with nature conservation at Södertörn and the surrounding area.

In 2008, with funding from the municipalities and the Stockholm County Council's environmental grant, Södertörn Ecologists inventoried amphibians at 151 sites.
