Söderköping - Vadstena, St Birgitta Ways East

The Söderköping-Vadstena route is a pilgrimage route in the open Östgothic landscape, from the small town idyll of Söderköping, through the diocesan city of Linköping to Saint Birgitta's city of Vadstena. A pilgrimage route that connects parts of Saint Birgitta's life, past and present. By following another person's life, I get to know myself.

Section 1: Söderköping -Gårdeby 20.3 km

Section 2: Gårdeby - Askeby 19.2 km

Section 3: Askeby - Linghem - Linköping 18 km (alternative route is the old route from Askeby to Landeryd and further to central Linköping, but which has much more car traffic on the 70-80 road)

Section 4: Linköping - Vreta monastery 14 km (Östgötaleden)

Section 5: Vreta monastery - Borensberg 21 km (Östgötaleden)

Section 6: Borensberg - Motala 19-28.5 km (Östgötaleden)

Section 7: Motala - Vadstena 18 km (Östgötaleden)
