Vandringens dag Östgötaleden längs Göta kanal Motala

Hiking Day is held every year on the second Saturday in September throughout Sweden. In Motala this year, you can join a hike in a setting close to the city. We’ll walk part of the Östgötaleden trail along the Göta Canal, passing historic sites such as the Motala Workshop, the dock, the lock staircase at Borenshult, and more. We’ll also take a detour into the Sjöbo-Knäppan Nature Reserve.

The hike takes place on easy terrain along trails, gravel roads, and paved roads. The distance is 11 km, with an estimated time of about 4 hours. Bring a packed lunch.
