Rundtur i Äppelriket

This is a suggested round that is possible to both walk and cycle. The area is known for its apple orchards and beautiful scenery. Take a trip and experience it for yourself!

Road description
Preferaly start at Kurrebo. Kurrebo was built by Captain David Klingspor around 1900. He was called Kurre by his friends, that ́s how Kurrebo got its name. Take a walk up to Lunnabacken. Here you can enjoy the view over lake Åsnen and its archipelago. Up on Lunnabacken you can visit the Odenvallahults säteri, a seat farm from the 18th century. If you are walking: Follow the sign ”Bokskogen” from the parking lot down to Kärrasand and the bathing place, about 500 m. If you are biking: Follow the way from the garden and then turn right towards Kärrasand. After Kärrasand take a left turn towards Fålaboda – Segersnäs. Here you can find the only preserved windmill in the county. Hwems gamla krykplats is located in Bosgård, a beautiful church ruin with a stone cross and altar, as well as a great view over lake Åsnen. Continue your way. At the sign towards Västerbotorp you can visit the Porslinsmuséet, a porcelain museum. Take the way back to Kurrebo. The apple orchards in Ällenäs are worth a visit. You get to Ällenäs by driving past Kurrebo and Sånnahult. The tour is on smaller asphalt roads and is marked.
