Route Byvärma – Björkö – Gustavsfors 15 km .

The river is 15-20 m wide and the current somewhat stronger than on the leg before lake Möckeln. Enter into lake Tornasjön, through the dug ”Kråka Kanal” canal and continue into lake Skeppshultasjön. After Skeppshultsjön lake, Helge river continues to flow towards Björkö, where the rest area is west of the island. When paddling past Björkö island, keep to the east of the island. Toilet, BBQ area, rubbish bin and firewood. Just south of Björkö island some quite fast rapids come up, which may be a little difficult. Pay extra attention here. The trail continues towards Gustavsfors where you should follow the right channel before the island. Go ashore on the west shore of the island, before the powers station. Gustavsfors used to be a handicraft village, and ruins remain to be seen today. The rest area is on the island. Note that this is a fishing area with special regulations both to the north and the south of the power station. BBQ area, rubbish bin, firewood, toilet. Paddling is not allowed in the area behind the power station. We recommend that you finish your canoe adventure in Gustavsfors.
