Smalspåret

The community of Hultsfred is as old as the town's railways and was previously a railway hub with connections in five directions.

The narrow gauge stretched from Västervik to Växjö and was almost 19 miles long.

In various stages between 1878 and 1922, the connections were opened. This line was SJ's last narrow-gauge railway for passenger traffic. Despite protests, the service was closed in 1984.

Today, the narrow-gauge line has been declared a listed building and is a museum railway. In summer, there are steam trains and rail buses between Hultsfred and Västervik.

On the route between Hultsfred and Målilla, as well as between Virserum and Aggatorp, there are bicycle trains for hire. The current station house was built in 1902.
