Konstverk Katedralskepp

The artist Vivianne
Geijer has links to Värnamo, so when the municipality bought ‘Katedralskepp’
(Cathedral Ship) it felt like a vessel returning to its home port. “When I
create an abstract sculpture, the form is a consequence of an inner experience,
where the material is adapted to the idea that I want to realise.” (Vivianne on

Inspiration can be
the experience of a meeting, a track in the snow, music or poetry, texts in the
daily press or other artists’ exhibitions. Experiences can also rest in the
subconscious for several years and then emerge as a finished and new concept.
Purchased by the Municipality of Värnamo in 1998.
