Kesufallet

Follow Helagsleden for about 300 meters and then turn right towards Kläppvallen/Nyvallen. Along Kesuån to Kesufallet the path is well trodden. The trail goes through mountain birch forest before it reaches Kläppvallen where you follow the road back. After about 500 meters it turns right and follows the forest road towards Kläppens parking.

Enjoy the mountain flowers by the roadside and take the opportunity to visit Utsikten, which is up on the right. Follow the path signposted Utsikten out through the birch forest. After about 300 meters, the terrain opens up and the magnificent view of Ljungan, Kläppvallen, Vargtjärnsstöten, Stortuvan and Nyvallen spreads out. The viewpoint has been used by locals and visitors for centuries and is well worth a visit.

The mountains are a cultural landscape and reindeer herding takes place in several places. Four Sami villages operate in Berg municipality. Visitor pressure in the mountains is increasing and with it the risk of impact on reindeer husbandry. It is important that you, as a visitor to the mountains, show consideration and know how you should act where reindeer herding takes place.

Keep this in mind when you are in the mountains:

• Always leave the reindeer alone. If you come across reindeer, take a wide detour around or sit down quietly and wait for them to pass.
• Keep your dog on a leash where there are reindeer. A loose dog can cause great disturbance and harm to the reindeer and reindeer herding work.
• Follow marked trails.
• Avoid disturbing reindeer at snow camps, they stay there to protect themselves from heat and troublesome insects.
• Avoid camping in lush valleys.
• Cycle on roads and paths intended for cycling.
