Naturstig Storgräftåvallen

Welcome to the Storgräftån nature trail. It starts and ends at the barbecue area at Storgräftåns fäbodvall. The trail is 1.9 kilometers long and contains 10 signs with information about some of the animals found in the forests here in the area.

You can also listen to the sounds of some of the animals. Look at the wall of the upper shelter, above the Gräftån river on the eastern side of the fäbodvall. Follow the instructions on the sound pulley.

Large parts of Berg municipality are reindeer herding areas. Most reindeer are in the mountains during the summer, but you may encounter them in the forest or along the roads all year round. It is important that visitors show consideration for the reindeer. You do this by not stressing them. When you encounter reindeer, slow down, sit down and wait for them to pass or take a long detour past them. Always keep dogs on a leash where there are reindeer.
