Tysta områden - västra Rottnen

Discover the nature around western Rottnen, one of five major quiet areas in Växjö municipality. Around Asa, east of Lake Örken, in the eastern part of the municipality, here along Lake Rottnen and around Åsnen, there are large areas of natural and cultural environments with excellent sound quality. All are well worth a day trip on foot or by bike to explore all the varied habitats with nice views to boot. In these large, relatively quiet and unspoiled areas, the experience of desirable sounds of nature often dominates over disturbing noise. Here, at least 80% of visitors to the area after the visit consider that they have experienced a good sound environment, ie lower than 45 dB (A). Here you are surrounded by nature's own sounds, such as the lapping of the waves from the lake, a breeze in the foliage or the spring birdsong.
